(Received May 17, at 11.30 a.m.) When Raman Singh, aged fifty-three, an Indian, was prosecuted on a charge of being a prohibited immigrant it was revealed that Singh had been in Australia_ for thirty-four years. He could not sign his name, and failed to pass the dictation test. Accused was remanded.
