MELBOURNE CENTENARY
MARITIME EXHIBITION UNIQUE DISPLAY ARRANGED. Press Associntion-r-By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, May 16. The Ship Lovers’ Society of Victoria has been loaned a square rigged sailing vessel named the Shandon for the purpose of holding a centenary maritime exhibition. The vessel will be rigged as a barque and the ’tween decks space of 7,400 square feet will house hundreds of sea relics. Each week former seamen will take the ship to sea, tramping round the capstan and hauling on the braces and halyards to the tunes of old sea chanties. THE AIR RAGE THE HAGUE, May 10. (Received May 17, at 12.30 p.m.) The Royal Dutch -Air Line has entered a now giant Fokker F 36, carrying twelve passengers, in the handicap centenary air race.
