MINIMUM DIET
JOINT COMMITTEE'S REPORT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 16. A joint committee of the Ministry of Health and the British Medical Association reports that the minimum diet for a man engaged in heavy work should be based on 3,400 to 4,000 calories a day. For a woman in active work the requirements are 2,800 to 3,000. The all-round average requirements of the entire population or of large mixed groups of people are at present about 3,000.
