RESERVES DEPARTMENT Group 604 reports for work at 8 a.m. to-morrow at the Woodhaugh Gardens. WORKERS' MEETING The weekly meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Central branch of the National Unemployed Workers’ Movement was held on Monday evening. Mr G. Geddes occupied the chair. Correspondence was read and received from the town clerk (Mr G. A. Lewin), general secretary N.U.W.M. (Wellington), Minister of Public Works (Hon. .1. Bitchener), Otago Labour Council, and the secretary of the Dunedin North Unemployed Association. Mr G. Geddes and Mrs E. Bennet were appointed as a deputation to attend the next meeting of the council regarding a complaint received. The financial statement of funds for the quarter ended April 30 was received. The secretary intimated that arrangements were well in hand for the concert and dance in the Trades Hall on May 31. Miss Ruby Baxter was entertaining the unemployed with her full concert party on that date. It was agreed to write to the mayor (Rev. E. T. Cox) to obtain particulars of the anual meeting of. the mayor’s Relief Committee. Speakers for Sunday afternoon’s meeting were appointed as follow: —At the Oval: Messrs P. Neilson, G. Dale, D. Andrews, and G. Geddes. At Hancock Park: Messrs M. Silverstone, I. Jamieson, C. M'Arthur, and P. H. Petrie. Reports and remits were discussed, and instructions given to the delegates attending the Unemployed District Council meeting to-night in the Trades Hall.
