SUSPENSION OF HOSTILITIES RESUMPTION OF PEACE NEGOTIATIONS (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, May 14". The communique published yesterday by the Saudi Government announced that Ibn Saud has ordered suspension of hostilities on all fronts in Yemen: with a view to resumption of peace negotiations. Sir John Simon, ' replying in the: House of Commons to a question, said that this order was stated to have followed on an undertaking by • the Imam of Yemen to surrender Idrisis, to evacuate the mountainous region in dispute, and to release the Saudi hostages he had been holding. Meanwhile the Saudi Government appeared to have firmly established its authority at Hodeida, and the town was reported to be quiet. Adequate steps had been taken to protect British interests in the areas affected.
