Batten, otherwise she might have equalled Miss Amy Johnson’s record of live and.a-half days to reach Karachi. Miss Batten achieved a record by making the first direct flight_to Cyprus in two days seven hours, 1,670 miles oversea, the longest-lap of which was from Athens to Cvprus. 620 miles.
