EX-LABOUR MEMBER LIVELY SCENES AT MEETING Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 13. (Received May 14, at 12.15 p.m.) , The fact that the ex-Labourite, Mr John Beckett, who was once suspended by the House of Commons fbr removing the mace, has been converted to "Fascism led to lively scenes- at a Black Shirts’ meeting at Newcastle-bh-Tyne. A crowd of several thousand greeted him with cries of “Traitor,” and soon there were free fights with sticks and stones. The police ordered the meeting to be terminated. Mounted police had to stampede the crowd, from which Air Beckett was escorted to the Fascist headquarters, which were then ’besieged until further chiirges -dispfersed the mob. ■■
