Peace negotiations-in Yemen are being carried on busily, according to reports. Ibn Sand desires a treaty guaranteeing peace for twenty years. He previously demanded the Imam of .Yemen’s abdiction and the occupation of the frontier areas by the Saudis- for five years. Meanwhile the Saudis are advancing upon Sanaa. The Imam cabled to his representative in Cairo declaring: “The situation on all fronts is good. Only blood can wash out the Saudi insult.” ' A later message • reports that Ibn Saud agreed to suspend military operations pending the Imam’s assurances that he will carry out the conditions of peace.
