OTAGO HUNT CLUB

MEET AT WAKARI Messrs M'Lcod and W. Brinsdon again placed their properties at the club’s disposal, ami although, as a result of the recent wot weather, the going was yielding, the majority of those following the hounds completed the run without mishap. Members met at the Town Hall at 2, and proceeded by way of Stuart street to Wakari, whore the hounds were sent away on the trail about 3. The run, which was curtailed on account of the soft nature of the ground, consisted of about ten jumps, comprising post and rails, hurdles, and stone walla. With few exceptions the followers successfully completed the journey, several of the members who ■were out for the first time this season giving a praiseworthy display! After the run members took part in jumping competitions, the results of these after close competition being:— •lumping Competition (Lady Riders). —Miss M. Statham (Handy) 1, Miss I. Riddell (King Did;) 2, Miss J. Reid (Royal Lady) 3. Open dumping Competition.—R. M'Gregor (Red Shadow) 1, B. Hastio (Dandy) 2, J. Dick- (Mikado) 3, The thanks of the club are due .to Miss Florence Dickson for presenting handsome trophies for these jumping competitions.
