THE 'SPORTS SPECIAL’
INTERESTING RAGING AND FIELD SPORTS DAY Bright wintry weather is a fair forecast for to-morrow, and with the very large and particularly interesting racing programme promised and some closh struggles in the football codes, the 1 Sports Special ’ will be a full and satisfying journal. A feature of note will be the invitation match race at the Oamaru trots, in which Walla Walla, Harold Logan, Roi L’Or, and Red Shadow will take part. A full description of this event and of the meeting will be furnished in the issue. Other important racing news will be the second days of the 'Southland and Wanganui Meetings Waikato trots. The big Rugby clash to-morrow is Kaikorai v. University A, but all the matches in this and other codes promise interest and perhaps surprises. All matches —Rugby, Soccer, League, hockey, and basketball — and the many harrier events will be reported in the issue, which will be copiously illustrated.
