WEATHER REPORT. The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Aleteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern district—Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Wintori, Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay;— An intense anti-cyclone is now centred off the south-west corner of New Zealand. Though still , low to the north and east, barometers are rising in the dominion. On the east coast of Australia there has been a fall of pressure, and a cyclone was centred yesterday north-east of Brisbane. Forecast ; “ Moderate southerly winds, later becoming light and variable; weather fine, but some showers on the east coast; cold night, with many frosts; seas moderate. HERTFORD SAILS TO-MORROW. The overseas steamer Hertford, which is completing her loading at Port Chalmers, will sail to-morrow on a draught of 28ft for Halifax, London, and west of Britain ports. TELEGRAPHIC ADVICE.
