MINERS TRAPPED
DISASTER IN BAVARIA SMOKE PRECLUDES RESCUE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MUNICH, May 7. Though many escaped, eighty miners were trapped when a- short circuit, due to the collapse of a pit prop cutting ' a high tension cable, set fire to the main shaft of a salt mine at Bueggingen. Thick smoko precluded rescues. Hope has been abandoned and the mine sealed.
