FORMATION OF BOWLING CLUB. Stating that there were many members of the association who would be prepared to support the jiroject, a letter was received from a member of the association suggesting that a returned soldiers’ bowling club should be formed. There were several suitable sites for a green, which would be a decided asset to the association. The Dunedin Bowling Centre would give its support. “ There is something to be, said for the idea, but it is certainly a proposal that should be dealt with carefully,” said Mr P. S,. Anderson. “ I suggest that a sub-committee ho set up to meet representatives of those who brought forward the proposal.” Mr Paterson: The formation of a bowling club, including as it does the building of rooms, the upkeep of the green, and other incidentals, would run into about £1,5001 It is too great a risk. . Voices: It would not cost as much as that. After several members had voiced their opinions, it was decided to adopt Mr Anderson’s proposal, the sub-com-mittee to report at the next meeting. GENERAL. Messrs A. Thomas, A, S. Falconer, and the secretary (Mr O. L. Ferens) were appointed delegates to the annual conference to be held at Wellington on June 26 and 27.
