W.C.T.U. MEETING
• The monthly meeting of tlio Northeast Valley W.C.T.U. was held in the institute on Monday evening. Miss A. Gray (president) presided, and there was a good attendance of members. . Mrs Peart (vice-president) led the devotional exercises. Feeling reference was made to Anzac Day, and the fallen soldiers, and votes of sympathy were passed to the relatives, also with three of the union members who had suffered bereavement during the month. After the business of the meeting Mrs Denton Leech gave a most interesting address on the work of the League of Nations, dealing mainly with the disarmament movement. At the conclusion Miss Gray moved a hearty vote of thanks, which was unanimously carried. Suitable hymns of pence were sung, and the meeting closed with prayer.
