CABARET PROPRIETOR CHARGED
KEEPING OPEN ON SUNDAY [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May J. Douglas Palmer Claridge, proprietor of Claridge’s Country Club, on New Brighton road, a well-known cabaret, was charged to-day with keeping the club open on Sunday for the purpose of transacting business; and, as proprietor of the restaurant, with permitting liquor to be drunk on the premises at a time when licensed premises closed.
