J.IBTER V. PARKER The Otago Boxing Association has heeh fortunate .in securing Harry Lister and Eddie Parker for the first contest of the new .season. Lister is the present middle-weight champion of New Zealand, and has fought his way into prominence of late. He is fresh from successful contests against Ray Nicol, who holds the light-heavy-weight title. Lister is a real erowd-pleaser with a double-handed punch that his opponents greatly respect. Eddie Parker is an ex-middle-weight champion. and has met Lister twice, winning one bout and drawing on the last occasion. He is a past master at ringcraft and demonstrated last season that he is anything but a spent force in the ring, ffe will have a slight advantage in weight. The contest is to be one of fifteen rounds, and both men are as fit as hands can make them. There will be the usual amateur preliminaries, and altogether boxing patrons are assured of a more than usually interesting night. MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Executive of the Otago Boxing Association was held last evening, Mr F. J. Campbell presiding. It wiis decided to postpone the amateur tournament arranged for Mnv 15 till May 28. Arrangements were'completed for the professional contest between Harry Lister and Eddie Parker. Mr Campbell was appointed M.C. and M> J. Kil martin was appointed referee. Preliminaries were arranged as follows:—D. Campbell v. F. Hood, N. Greaney v. J. Drew, and L..Gfrianey v. C. Leader.
