R. WHITCOMBE'S RECORD LONDON, April 30. In the Dunlop professional tournament with £1,600 prize money R. Whitcombe’s 6-1 is described as one of the most remarkable in,-the history of British golf. It is nine below the scratch score and three below the record. The score is the lowest ever returned in a first class tournament in Britain. Hesketh is a 6,046-yai'd course. Wbitcombc’s figures out were 3,1, 1,3, 4,2, 4,4, 4, and homo 4, 4, 4, 4, .3, 3, ,3. .3. 4. 33i0 ‘ Daily Mail ’ says Bobby Jones never produced more accurate golf.
