UNUSUAL ACTION
RECOMPENSE UNDER WILL ALLEGEDLY PROMISED [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, March 12. An unusual type of action was coma menced in the Supreme Court to-day, when a married couple claimed- that though they had looked after a man for years on the understanding that he was to make, a will in their favour, he died without doing so, all his estate going to another beneficiary. . Plaintiffs were William Alfred Turner, of Christchurch, a railway employee, and his wife, Meanette Turner. The defendants were the Publio Trustee and Elizabeth M'lntosh, widow, of Dunedin. The claim , set out that the Publio Trustee was the executor of the will/ of the late James M'Vicar, late of Christchurch, deceased, and Mrs/'Elizabeth M'lntosh.was the sole beneficiary. William A. Turner, the plaintiff, was a cousin of the late Jarnes<M‘Vicar; For some time the parties had lived at Greymouth, removing to Christchurch iu IOJI.
