SUPREME COURT
A NASEBY CASE Hearing was continued this, morning in the Supreme Court before His Honour Mr Justice Kennedy and a jury of the charges against Horacio Acosta Martin of indecently assaulting two girls under sixteen years of age at Naseby and of having carnal knowledge of the girls. Mr C. J. L. White appeared for the accused. who pleaded not guilty. This ease, which commenced on Monday afternoon, engaged the attention of the court throughout the whole of yesterday. At the conclusion of the evidence yesterday afternoon the jury was addressed by the Crown Prosecutor (Mr F. B. Adams), and by counsel for the defence. Mr White’s address occupied Ih 20min, the court adjourning at 6 o’clock till this morning. This morning His Honour addressed the jury for forty-five minutes, the jury retiring at 10.47 to consider their verdict.
