KIRK-WINDEYER CONTEST [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 4. The New Zealand Golf Council has decided that the Kirk-Windeyer contest will be played, at Middlemoro after the Auckland provincial championships at Titirangi, which conclude ou April o. - The date has not been fixed, but if the team must leave by the boat of Aprkl 6 it will be played at once; otherwise there will be some days for practice, the next boat being April 16. The New South Wales Council is being written to this effect, and has been asked to reply by cable. The council resolved to write to H. A. Black, J. P. Hornabrook, T. H. Horton, B. M; Silk, and B. V. Wright, asking if they will be available. Letters were read asking as to the venue of the next New Zealand championships, and it was resolved to make further inquiries and endeavour to come to a definite decision at the March meeting. It was resolved that A. D. S. Duncan and W. A. Kiely act as a sub-committee to go through the whole of the forms returned and fix new standard scratch scores in accordance with the amended system.
