SERIES OF BURGLARIES
PREMISES ENTERED OVER WEEK-END A series of petty burglaries was per. petrated over the week-end, .although' in no case does there appear to have been much stolen. Messrs H. E. Shacklock Ltd.’s foundry in Princes street was broken! into by a door being forced open, but' nothing appears to have been taken,! A boatshed in Kitchener street,owned by Mr Alexander Bain, was entered, but all that was taken was a suit case. The weatherboards to the left of the door were shattered and roughly replaced. The premises of Radiation N.Z, Ltd. (Messrs Brinsley’s foundry) in Jutland street were entered through the back of the premises, but so far aa could be ascertained nothing was missing. Entry was also gained to the premises of A. E. Reeves, oyster grit merchant, in Jutland street, and a wages! book containing a number of unemployment stamps was found to be nussing.
