RIFLE SHOOTING

DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club shot tne second competition for prizes presented by President W. Bannennan and Rifleman O. G. Miller on Saturday afternoon. There was an attendance of twenty-four, and ten shots (two optional sigbters) each were fired at 300 and 600 yards. Weather conditions were fine, but a bright light and valuable breeze made high scoring difficult. IviHeman R. A. Mackie, with 46, had the best score at 300yds. Rifleman W. W. Denton, with 47, was highest at 600yds. Rifleman R. A. Mackie headed the day’s aggregate with 47. Following are the highest scores:— 300 600
