BYRD EXPEDITION
THE BEAR OF OAKLAND RECORD RUN TO BAY OF WHALES Press Association—By Telegraph—Copy light. NEW YORK, February 2. A report from the Byrd Expedition states that the Bear of Oakland arrived at the Bay of Whales on Wednesday night after a record twelveday run from Dunedin and is now berthed alongside the Jacob Ruppert. Both crews are busy getting supplies to Little America before there are further dangerous ice breaks.
