VIOLINCELLO AND PIANOFORTE RECITAL
Two accomplished musicians, Misses Elvira Wycherley, ’cellist, and Ormi Reid, pianist, are to present a programme of music on Thursday next at 8 p.m. in Beggs’ concert chamber. These two young ladies from Palraerston North and Wellington respectively, have appeared together in many recitals in the North Island, and met with an enthusiastic reception everywhere. Miss Wycherly’s items include ‘ Variations Symphoniques,’ by Boellmann, ‘Kol Nidrei ’ (Bruch), ‘ Govotte ’ (Popper), ‘ Guitarre ’ (Moskowski), etc. Associated with Miss Wycherly is Miss Ormi Reid as accompanist and solo pianist. Miss Reid will play several solos, including ‘ Ballade in F Minor ’ (Chopin), ‘llano’ (Debussy,’ ‘Jardins sous fa Pluie,’ (Debussy ' Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’ (Bach), arranged by Hess.
