CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIPS [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, February 2. Under excellent weather and track conditions the _ Canterbury amateur athletic championships were commenced at Lancaster Park this afternoon. Five open championships were decided, and heats of others were run off. G. H. Watson won the three-mile championship in 15min 0 3-ssec, brilliantly. outclassing the rest of the field.
