JUVENILE OPERATIC SOCIETY
A new event in the musical life of Dunedin this year will be the formation of a juvenile operatic society. Miss Muriel Eagar has, during the last few years, successfully produced the following juvenile operettas:—‘-The Rose Dream,’ * The Lost Comet,’ ‘ The Sleeping Beauty,’ and ‘ Catching Santa Claus.’ The new operetta, ‘ The Enchanted Musical Box,’ is a charming work. Rehearsals will commence immediately, and a short time each evening will he given to choral training, in addition to the operatic music. The Juvenile Operatic Society should give a greater number of talented juveniles an opportunity of self-ex-pression.
