POPULAR NATIONAL MAGAZINE
Increasing numbers of New Zealanders are recognising that the ‘ New Zealand Railways Magazine ’ has won a definite place as a national monthly in the publishing field. Of course, such a magazine keeps the people in helpful touch with their own railways, but there is nothing coldly official in the enterprise. Indeed, the majority of the features are not concerned at all with railway subjects, but cover the whole range of New Zealand. Successive issues of the magazine form a reference library on New Zealand history and scenery. The serious subjects are' served up brightly by well-known writers, who nave achieved distinction. Other features comprise humorous sketches, stories, original New Zealand verse, notes, and comments for women, chats on books and writers, and special reading for children. The magazine is distinctly one for the family.
