OTAGO BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOLS. SESSION 1934. The enrolment op new pupils will take place at the Schools on MONDAY, February 5, at 9.20 a.m. Those living at a distance from Dunedin may enrol at the same hour on TUESDAY, February 6, on- which date Old Pupils return at 10 a.m. Birth and Proficiency Certificates and, if possible, Primary Progress Cards must be produced by new pupils at the Schools on enrolment. Holders of Standard VI. Competency Certificates will be admitted to free, places in the Girls’ High School provided they take the Commercial Course. Boys holding such certificates can only Be admitted as Paying Pupils. Pupils entering under this quahfica,tion must produce their certificates on enrolment. . , Hat Badges will be supplied to new pupils at the Schools on the day of entrance. Prices: Boys’ badge, 2s; girls’ badge, 3s, Parents of new pupils who desire to see the Rector of the Boys’ School or the Principal of the Girls’ School may do so at the Schools on MONDAY, February 5, and on TUESDAY, February 6, from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. They are requested to attend as follows: —Monday, Town and Suburban (names commencing A-M); Tuesday, Town and Suburban (N to Z) and Country. (b) Pupils of the three contributing schools who passed the Proficiency Examination in 1953, and who do not intend to enter a High School-or a Technical School. (c) Relatively Old Pupils of the contributing schools whose interests would be better served in the Intermediate School, and who are at least thirteen years of age and have spent one year in Standard IV. (d) Qualified Pupils from other schools, provided accommodation is available after enrolling the pupils from the contributing schools.
