TOURIST TROPHY RACE [Per Uxited Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 29. The fourth annual New Zealand Tourist Trophy race for motor cycles, which was held to-day at Waibeke Island under the auspices of the Auckland Motor Cycle Club, was won by S. Moses, Auckland (Rudge). His time for 168 miles was 3br 14mm 30 sec. Since the event was inaugurated in 1931 Moses has won three times, finishing second on the other occasion. The second man to-day was W. Robins, Whangarei (Velocette), while B. Smith, Whitford (Norton) was third and C. Goldberg, Auckland (J.A.P.) fourth. There were twenty-one representing districts in both the North and South Islands. Although falls wore wore frequent, there were no serious mishaps to the riders. The fastest lap was made bv A. Mattson, Auckland (Norton), who covered the distance of. six and three-quarter miles in 7min 1 4 TtTis considered likely, in view of his win to-dav and his past successes, that Moses will be chosen again this year to represent the dominion at the International Tourist Trophy races at the Isle of Man.
