KILLED IN A FLAT A DESPERATE CHARACTER Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CHICAGO, January 24. (Received January 25, at 8.50 a.m.) “Three-fingered” Jack White, an ox-convict, a killer and a racketeer, who was formerly Chicago’s public enemy No. 1, was found slain in a suburban flat. The furniture was wrecked, giving evidence of a fight with two men, who were ?een running away. White had many enemies in the underworld, due to his high-handed terrorism. As a police killer he was regarded as Gangland’s most desperate character.
