JAPAN AND RUSSIA
NO POSSIBILITY OF WAR RESUMPTION OF RAILWAY NEGOTIATIONS Preaa Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 17. The British United Press Association’s Moscow' correspondent understands that the Government has been informed that the Soviet employees in the Chinese Eastern Railway who were arrested in Manchuria will be released shortly. This will permit the resumption of Russo-Japanese negotiations for the sale of the railway, and possibly solve this most important problem which is facing the .two nations. No war between Russia and Japan is expected in the near future. The Government believes that the real crisis will come- during the naval conference in 1935, unless that is cancelled on account of its obvious failure.
