UNUSUAL SENTENCE EMPORIA, Kas., December 26. Warren W. Finney (60), banker, whose son, Ronald, is accused in the Kansas £500,000 bond forgery scandal, was sentenced in District Court from thirty-six to 600 years’ imprisonment for embezzlement. Finney was convicted on twelve counts, the embezzlement charges totalling approximately £12,000. He was sentenced by Judge Lon McCarthy to from three to fifty years on each count, the terms to run consecutively. Finney is the president of banks here and at Neosho, Falls, Kansas, both closed in connection with the bond scandal. His accused son is a Topeka bond broker. Ronald Finney and Tom Boyd, former State Treasurer, face State and Federal charges ia the bond case.
