All records for the registration of new companies in England were broken in 1933, the total being 11,054, compared with 9,949 in 1932, the capital of £94,545,000 being an increase of £24,341,000 for the year. Land and building companies head the list for the capital total, with the food group next, but the clothing group accounts for 1,004 companies..
