SERIOUS FAULTS ALLEGED LARGE CRACKS IN CONCRETE Prtm Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 15. The ‘Daily Herald’s’ Paris correspondent 'says it is alleged that serious faults have been discovered which may render France’s chain of super forts on the eastern frontier useless. The forts extend for 150 miles and cost £30,000,000, but it is reported that instead of the concrete being a yard thick as 'ordered it is only half a yard, and large cracks are already appearing. There ,w»s no adequate inspection of the work or material when it was carried out, hence the alleged scandal, which is causing M. Daladier (Minister of War) to spud three military inspectors yestigite. __ ,
