PROCURING DRUGS
PURGED PRESCRIPTIONS [Per Unitbd Pkmb Amociatto*.] . CHRISTCHURCH, January 16. Before Mr Mosley. 8.M., Mrs Bite Mary Green, of Waikari, pleaded guilty to a charge of procuring a dangerous drug—atrophine sulphate and morphine sulphate—when not licensed to do so, and was fined £2 and costs. The police said defendant obtained the drugs by forging prescriptionsj , In one of the alleged prescriptions the amount mentioned would nave, been fatal, but the chemist altered the figures. Defendant had previously been given small quantities of the drug for asthma. She had tried to get the drug several times, and it was feared that she was coming under its influence.
