(Received January 16, at 1.15 p.m.)' Foochaw, the seat of the revolutionary Government of Fukien, -which was reported to have been taken liy the Government forces following “ fierce fighting,” was actually evacuated by the nineteenth _ route army on Saturday after negotiations between Nanking offi--cials and the rebel leaders. The city is now peaceful, and the danger is shifty, ing to Amoy, where a portion of the nineteenth army has concentrated. The rebel leaders, including General Tasi Ting-kai and Eugene Chen, used aeroplanes to flee from Foochow before the city was evacuated. -
