BACK TO NORMAL RUNNING PLAY IK KINKS COMPETITION By playing three rounds in the rinks competition yesterday, the , Tournament Committee was able to get back to normal running in connection with the rinks competition ot the dominion championship bowling tournament, and the sixth round was completed late yesterday afternoon, so that the committee was up to date with jits' programme when .'play was rbsugied today. In section A only one loss had been sustained at the end of last evening’s play by Deare (Dunedin), winner of the rinks championship in 1931, and Barnett (Roslyn). Having had a comfortable win in the fourth round against Carswell, Deare- then' had a close game with Spring, of Ashbury, and in the sixth round was beaten by Kettle (Caledonian), who ended up - with a margin ot six points. Barnett had good wins all day, and was due to meet Deare in the eighth round this , afternoon. At the end of the .day there were three rinks in section F which had suffered only one defeat, these being skipped by Thomson (Phoenix),. Irvine (Edendale), and s Adess (St. Kilda). Adess had a particularly exciting time winning each of his three games by one point. Anderson, of Timaru. won his first six games, and therefore qualified. In his last game yesterday he had a very close contest with E. Harraway (Dunedin), and just managed to scrape Home by 21 points to 20. Whibley (Cleymouth) and Harraway had each lost only one game last night. In section B, MacGillivray, the lloslyn player, who has not yet been defeated, qualified for post-section play by defeating Crawford (Kaituna), 23-8, and Jackson (Mew South Wales) by the narrow margin of one point* the final score being ,28-27. Edwards (Temuka) and Young (Kia Toa), with only one Joss each, are also in . good positions.

Ju section C, on the Caledonian green yesterday, Walker (Auckland), who has y a great record in championship tournaments, and skipped the winning rink in 1932, had the most wins to his credit, winning all of his games yesterday by large margins. H. - Wilson (Linwcpd) came next with four wins. In section E, on the Dunedin green,. Currie (West End, Timaru) and W. A. Dee (Nelson) each had lire'wins at the end ol the day's play. Currie beat Bentley (Dunedin) in the fifth round by 23 to 6, but suffered nis first defeat in the sixth round at the hands of Shepherd (Kaituna) by 22 to 20. In section H, Muston was the only player with five wins, but Shaw, Healey, and Tonkin each had 4. In section "I, Bandy (Papanui) had five wins. Lambeth, the winner of the singles in 1930, had four Wins and two losses / ;
