SIGNS OF TRADE REVIVAL It was announced at n recent meeting of the Sydney Water Board that building operations in Svduev ana suburbs during .1933 showed a marked improvement with last year. In all, 1,806 buildings were completed iit a cost of 112,214,503, compared with 1,433 buildings, costing £1,881,500 in 1932, or an increase of 373 buildings and £333,003 in cost. The number of dwelling houses erected or altered during the last twelve months was 1,102, or 61.02 per cent, of the total—namely, 1,806; the balance comprises 282 business premises, 108 Hats, and 314 buildings of a miscellaneous character. During the previous year 759 dwellings, 226 business premises, forty-one flats, and 411 miscellaneous buildings were completed. The growth in the number of dwellings and fiats particularly indicates; that house accommodation in Sydney is becoming relatively scarce.
