TRANSPORT LICENSING
APPLICATIONS BEFORE AUTHORITY The No. 9 District Transport Licensing authority continued its sitting in the Council Chamber to-day. A large number of applications for passenger licenses have yet to be dealt with, and the sitting is expected to last at least till to-morrow night. Mr A. I. W. Wood is the chairman, and the other members are Messrs J. Preston and W. Blackie. Mrs M. Miller (Ranfurly) was granted one vehicle authority for a goods service. The following passenger service applications were granted:—A. F. M'Grggor (Cambrian - Oturehua), Mount Cook Tourist Company (Pem-broke-Queenstown), New Zealand Railways (Oamaru-Tokorahi). D. K. Giffin' (P. 0., Oamaru-South Hill), Knrow Motor Garage and Service Company Ltd. (Kurow-Lafce Ohau); A. S. Clark (Maheno-Oamaru), D. K. Giffin (Oamaru-Fernbrook, P.Q., Oam-aru-Racecourse), C. A. Orr (KakanuiOamaru), Mount Cook Tourist Company (Queenstown-Cromwcll, Queens-town-Skippers).
