JUBILEE SWIMMING CARNIVAL
FIXTURE AT OAMARU An attractive programme lias been arranged for the semi-jubilee swimming carnival, to be conducted by the Oamaru Amateur Swimming Club at the Oamaru Public Baths on December 9, at 7.30 p.m. The list of events is as follows: 50yds men’s interclub handicap, 100yds men’s interclub handicap. 50yds ladies’ interclub handicap, 100yds open breast stroke handicap, 50yds junior Oamaru Club handicap, 50yds M'Culloch Cup championship (Oamaru Club, Waitaki Boys' High School, St. Kevin’s College), 133 l-3yds M'Culloch Cup relay (Oamaru Club, Waitaki Boys’ High School, and St. Kevin’s College), open diving, 133 l-3yds interclub open relay handicap, 66 2-3yds secondary school boys ’handicap, 66 2-3yds Waitaki Girls’ High School handicap, 33 l-3yds Waitaki Boys’ junior High School handicap, 33 l-3yds Waitaki Girls Junior High School handicap, 33 l-3yds primary school boys’ handicap, 33 "T-3yds primary school girls’ handicap, and beginners’ race (one width, post entry). Entries for all interclub events close with the secretary (Mr A. Curie) or the assistant secretary (Mr J. Ward) on Tuesday next. The Oamaru Club commences its “ iearn-to-swim week ” on Monday next, and will continue the campaign until December 9.
