COMMUNITY SINGING
An attractive programme has been arranged for to-morrow’s community sing at the Octagon Hall, under the joint leadership of Mr W. R. Sinclair and the Rev. Leslie B. Neale, both of whom, by request will contribute items. Mr A. Pettitt will be at the piano, and Mr F. Cawley at the organ as soloist. Signorina Rossi will be heard in songs, and Mrs M'Quarrio will sing Scottish songs. Further, the National Reel Party, comprising Misses May Wilson, Lorna Budge, Olive Scott, and Maisie Scott, will present an Irish reel. It is interesting to note that the broadcasting of these “ sings ” by 4YA has been the means of bringing in many donations of money and goods from listcners-in, and the Central Mission’s funds for Christinas cheer for needy children have thus been considerably augmented.
