HOMELESS INDIANS
EIGHT THOUSAND IN MADRAS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, November 28. (Received November 29, at 10.15 a.m.) A surprise census was taken between midnight on Saturday and two o’clock on Sunday morning. It is estimated that there were 8,000 homeless people in the Madras streets, including beggarsj coolies, and rickshaw pullers.
