CRIME IN BURMA
AFTERMATH OF REBELLION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, November 28. (Received November 29, at 10.15 a.m.) The effects of the recent rebellion in Burma are reflected in the serious crime figures last year, when there were 1,079 murders, averaging more than two daily. The police administration’s report says: “The percentage of murders is 10.3 to 100,000 of the population, compared with an average of 10.8 in 180 large American cities.”
