RACE FOR WINOOKA

At Laurel Poison told the Australian Press to-day. “] am very well pleased with the conditions of next Friday's race. 1 am grateful to the Laurel management for making the conditions read 101 b below scale. My horse will carry 1201 b. He is a good weight carrier. It is my sincere hope that Winooka will meet a high-class field next Friday.” The following horses will probably participate in the race-. —Character Pair by Pair Okapi. Oscillator, and Gold step. Winooka was given a light workout this morning when he went three-quarters of a mile well, although held hard throughout. The horse will be worked at Laurel on Saturday between races with colours up.
