MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED
FATALITY AT TAIERI BEACH Taieri Beach was the scene of a fatality on Saturday afternoon when a motor cyclist named Ralph Knarston Joseph lost his life. The deceased, who was twenty-five years of age, was returning to his home from Taieri Mouth, accompanied by his sister, who was riding pillion. The machine apparently struck a stone, swerved violently, and threw the two riders to the Mr Joseph sustained severe head injuries and died before he could be removed to the hospital. Miss Joseph escaped unhurt. The deceased was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Robert Joseph, of Taieri Beach.
An inquest was opened at Milton this afternoon.
