AMERICA'S EFFORTS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, September 15. (Received September 16, at 1 p.m.) Miss Perkins (Secretary of Labour) said to-day that she estimated that 750,000 workers returned to their jobs in August, and that the pay rolls of eighty-nine of the principal manufacturing industries in the country had increased by 12,000,000d01, indicating the “ success of the National Recovery Act and other efforts at industrial recovery.”
