The fortnightly meeting of Court Woodlands Pride was held 911 Monday, the Chief Ranger, Sister E. Marks, presiding. On the roll being called all the officers responded, and the business of the evening commenced with a large attendance. The woodwards gave their report relative to the sick members, whom they had visited during the fortnight, and intimated that there were still a good number laid aside, at home and in hospital. A list of the sick pay claims was read and duly authorised for payment.' The secretary reported that a member had just declared on the funds owing to an unfortunate accident, the member concerned suffering from a fractured ankle. A letter was received from the district secretary in which he thanked the court members for their congratulations and good wishes sent him on the occasion of his elevation to the presidency of the Dominion Friendly Societies’ Council.

Court Enterprise wrote inviting all officers and members to the opening social in the new hall in Stuart street on Tuesday, July 2b. The secretary was instructed to acknowledge the invitation with thanks, and the Chief Ranger requested as many members as possible to attend officially at 8 p.m. The Social Committee reported having met and completed all arrangements for the social and dance in tho Embassy Salon on July 31, the secretary being instructed to circularise all other courts with a respectful request for .their support. and patronage, and to intimate that the charge for admittance would lie sixpence for brothers, sisters, and friends. Owing to other engagements the court auditors were unable to be present to read the balance-sheet and give their half-yearly report. It was decided to bring the matter before the next-meeting, when the auditors would be present. The matter of commencing the next meeting at an earlier hour than usual was discussed, it being unanimously decided to open tho court at 7 o’clock in order to give visitors and friends four hours for social intercourse.
