The Napier aero pageant, held on Saturday afternoon, was an outstanding success. The presence ■of Lord and Lady Bledisloc and Sir Charles Kingston! Smith attracted a large attendance. Before the pageant commenced, their Excellencies took a flight in the Southern Cross over the city. Sir Charles Kingston! Smith was congratulated by the Governor-General on his Tasman' feat. Napier was a blaze of light on Saturday night, large crowds filling the streets till a late hour. The results of the baud contest are as follow:—Quickstep: B Grade, Napier Citizens’ 1. Carterton Silver 2; C grade, Palmerston North Garrison 1, Napier Technical 2, Kaponga 3. Own selection: B grade, Carterton Municipal 1, Napier Citizens’ 2; C grade, Palmerston North Garrison 1, Waipukurau Town 2, Napier Technical 3, Kaponga 4.
