ALLEGED IHTIMIDATIDN REIGN OF TERROR IN TIPPERARY Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 19. The ■ ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ correspondent at Dublin says that Mr Hassett, a former Cosgrave member of the Dail, has written to Mr Do Valera demanding an inquiry into intimidation, amounting to a reign of terror, in Tipperary, making a free election impossible. He says people aro afraid to let rooms to Mr Cosgrave’s supporters under threat of a boycott. It is impossible to hire motor cars, and cattle belonging to all known Cosgravites are being driven off the owners’ land and their fences torn down. Mr Hassett is constantly shadowed by two youths. He believes they are in the pay of a secret body. Even old-age pensioners are threatened with the loss of their pensions if they- do not vote .for De Valera candidates.
