MUSIC AT THE VEDIC
Commencing ,at the afternoon tea session on Monday next, Mr A. G. Frost, the well-known and popular musical director and composer, will be in charge of musical entertainments at the Vedic Cafe, in Princes street. For the last eight years Mr Frost has been associated with the J. C. Williamson Company, and has conducted the, orchestras for most of the vaudeville companies throughout Australia and New Zealand. Moreover, he has been the chief conductor in the Regent Theatres in this dominion, and will doubtless be remembered by many music-lovers as conductor of the Regent Orchestra in Dunedin. He is also an active member and the musical director of the Dunedin Orphans’ Club, which is famed for the high quality of its entertainments. Mr Frost commenced his career at the age of sixteen, and while still-at that age conducted every orchestra on the Moss and Stall circuit in Great Britain. At the Vedic he intends arranging and playing music to suit all tastes, so that his engagement there promises to be an extremely popular one.
